The One Email That Every Hospo Venue Should Send Every Week
Most venues either send no email at all, or they send a cluttered newsletter that nobody reads. There is a single email format that consistently drives covers, and it takes about 20 minutes to put together once you know the formula.

The One Email That Every Hospo Venue Should Send Every Week
Email marketing for hospitality has a reputation problem. Most people think of it as a cluttered monthly newsletter that gets deleted before it's opened. That's because most hospo emails are genuinely bad.
The fix is simpler than you think.
The One-Thing Email
The highest-performing hospo emails do exactly one thing. Not five things. Not "here's our weekly roundup." One thing: a new dish, a weekend event, a booking window opening, a staff story. Single focus, short copy, one clear link.
The Structure
Subject line: Specific and conversational. "Saturday night is almost gone" outperforms "Weekend Update at The Corner Bar" every time.
Opening: One sentence that states the one thing.
Body: Two to three sentences of context. What is it, why does it matter, what happens next.
CTA: One button. Book, order, view menu, or reply.
Footer: Unsubscribe link, address, phone. Keep it clean.
When to Send
Tuesday and Wednesday between 9am and 11am generate the highest open rates for hospitality content. Avoid Monday (inbox overload) and Friday afternoon (attention elsewhere). Thursday is your second-best option for weekend-focused campaigns.
SMS as a Complement
A one-line SMS the morning of an event — "Tonight: live music from 7pm, a few tables still open" — sent to your opted-in list consistently drives same-day covers. SMS has a 98% open rate versus 22% for email. Use it sparingly so it stays special.
